Dockrell 37

Post by admin »

We have owned Dockrell 37 "Hedwig" since 2001. Built in 88 (sail no. 112) we bought her from the original owners in the West Country who had called her "Jemma" and cruised her widely.
Since then she has been based in Chichester and proved a wonderful family cruising boat with various trips to France, Channel Is and a lot of Solent hopping.
This one has the rigid GRP cockpit hood /combined canvas sprayhood arrangement which is v.practical - not sure if this was standard. We have not yet seen another 37 but did talk to owners of one in Essex/Suffolk in 2001 when we were looking.
With kids now into teens and more into dinghies useage is dropping off. Do we hang on for the freedom of the empty nest or find a buyer?
